Kingsley United is a community project and registered charity, which uses football as tool to engage with young people. The Football Club was established to divert them from involvement in crime, anti-social behaviour, gang related activity, serious violence, serious organised crime.
The initiative is focused on children and youth between the ages of 7 – 10 years.
The club is based in Lodge Lane a hotspot location for serious and organised / gang-related crime in Toxteth, the most deprived 10% of the country with 1 in 3 children living in poverty and young people in this area facing multiple disadvantage. The young people are at risk of being drawn into gangs, anti-social behaviour, and criminal exploitation. They have low self-esteem and aspirations.
The projects sought to achieve the following objectives:

- Raise awareness of the consequences of getting involved with crime and anti-social behaviour, gangs and carrying knives
- Motivate to make positive changes to children and youth lives
